Our Mobile Live Scan service is available by appointment only. We will travel to your location whether it be your home, office, or other agreed upon location. No more having to drive somewhere, wait in line, or feel like your private information will be made public when going into a retail location.

Groups

Auspicious Live Scan and Notary offers on-site fingerprinting services for large groups of 10 or more. Event or Travel fee may apply. Please visit our Group Live Scan page and contact us for a quote.

To be Live Scan Fingerprinted, you will need to provide:

  1. Form of Payment: Payment for our Mobile Fee is required to reserve an appointment. The remaining Rolling Fee and Government Fees can be paid at the time of appointment. Available methods of payments: Cash (exact amount), Debit Card or Credit Card, Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal, ApplePay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and Zelle
  2. Request for Live Scan Service Form:  Print and complete your live scan form with your applicant information. Your employer or agency will provide you with this form prefilled with an ORI code and advise you on how to complete. Please advise us if you need assistance with printing your forms.
  3. Primary Photo Identification: Must be current and unexpired ***Expired, hole-punched, termporary, or pictures of your ID will not be accepted*** (Select one of these)

Secondary Forms of Identification
In the absence of a primary form of identification, an applicant shall provide at least two forms of secondary identification AND at least two additional forms of the supporting documentation.

To prepare for your appointment:

  • If you have dry hands, use oil-free lotion multiple times per day leading up to your appointment.
  • If you have sweaty or wet hands, please be sure to notify your technician.
  • Clean hands with soap and water

Fees

For California Job Applicants or Licensees, the fees are dependent on the level of service (DOJ, FBI, Firearms) that you are requesting and may vary.

We will give you an exact amount when you provide us with the ORI Code. The ORI Code is listed on the top of your Request for Live Scan Service form issued to you by your employer or referring agency.

Below is an estimated amount – prices may vary on government fees $0 – $93:

After your live scan, you can check your applicant status on the Department of Justice website. Processing times are normally 1 to 3 business days but can take several weeks if a manual criminal history verification is required. You will need your date of birth and ATI number written on the bottom of your Request for Live Scan Service form https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/

Your Live Scan provider does not receive notifications about delays or your results. Please wait at least 7 business days before checking with your employer or agency for questions about delays or the results.

Secondary Forms of Identification
In the absence of a primary form of identification, an applicant shall provide at least two of the following
forms of secondary identification AND at least two additional forms of the supporting documentation that

  • State Government Issued Certificate of Birth
  • U.S. Tribal or Bureau of Indian Affairs Identification Card
  • Native American Tribal Document
  • Social Security Card
  • Court Order for Name Change/Gender Change/Adoption/ Divorce
  • Marriage Certificate (Government Certificate Issued)
  • U.S. Government Issued Consular Report of Birth Abroad
  • Draft Record
  • School ID with photograph (minimum age 7 years old, or transaction will be rejected by DOJ) *
  • Certificate of Citizenship (N560)
  • Replacement Certificate of Citizenship (N-561)
  • Certificate of Naturalization (N550)

* If parent or guardian is vouching for student, enter the form of ID shown by parent or guardian only on
the live scan fingerprinting log your agency keeps. DO NOT enter the ID number into the student’s live
scan transaction.


Supporting Documentation for Secondary Forms of Identification
NOTE: When validating the authenticity of secondary forms of identification, the information must
be supported by at least two of the following supplemental documents:

  • Utility Bill (Address)
  • Jurisdictional Voter Registration Card
  • Vehicle Registration Card/Title
  • Paycheck Stub with Name/Address*
  • Jurisdictional Public Assistance Card
  • Spouse/Parent Affidavit

Individuals have a right to request their own criminal history record. Please review on the DOJ website.

 

A general-purpose Live Scan Request Form can be found on the DOJ website. Applicants are responsible for obtaining the correct agency information required on the form. Your agency/employer will also provide instructions on how to complete your form. Your Live Scan Operator cannot assist you with completing your form and reserves the right to refuse service if missing required information.
